Short Bio
Shadia Hrichi is a passionate Bible teacher, award-winning author, and speaker who leaves audiences with a deeper confidence in — and hunger for — God’s Word. Weaving together personal story, vivid illustration, and an unwavering trust in biblical authority, she brings Scripture to life in fresh and unexpected ways — with a particular gift for uncovering the lesser-known figures of the Bible whose stories speak directly into the hearts of modern audiences.
Shadia holds two master’s degrees — in biblical and theological studies and criminal justice — and her teaching is featured on Right Now Media, the world’s largest library of Bible study videos. She is the author of several award-winning Bible studies, including RUTH, RAHAB, TAMAR, HAGAR, and LEGION.
Whether serving as a keynote, retreat speaker, or workshop presenter, she brings a Spirit-led presence to every event — and is frequently invited to return.
Residing in northern California, she loves visiting the ocean each week for “a date with Jesus.”

Shadia Hrichi is a passionate Bible teacher, award-winning author, and speaker who leaves audiences with a deeper confidence in — and hunger for — God’s Word. No stranger to personal heartbreak and loss — including abortion, date rape, and divorce — she speaks with a rare authenticity, weaving together personal story, vivid illustration, and an unwavering trust in biblical authority to bring Scripture to life in fresh and unexpected ways.
Shadia holds a master’s degree in biblical and theological studies from Western Seminary as well as a master’s in criminal justice from the State University of New York. She is the author of several in-depth Bible studies, including RUTH, RAHAB, TAMAR, HAGAR, and LEGION, endorsed by various New York Times and Christy Award-winning authors and Bible Study Magazine (Faithlife/Logos Bible software).
Shadia’s teaching is featured on Right Now Media, the world’s largest library of Bible study videos, and her studies have received multiple literary awards. Perhaps the greatest affirmation of her ministry comes from audiences who say, “You make me want to read the Bible more” — the very words that remind her why she does what she does.

Frequently Asked Questions
After years of serving as event speaker, the number one most frequently asked question remains, how on earth do you pronounce Shadia Hrichi 😉 My name is pronounced Shah-dee-uh Her-ee-she (accents on “Shah” and “ee”). It’s Arabic and it means “Singing Birds,” which makes me laugh since I can’t sing to save my life. However, I learned that it also means “Beautiful Voice,” which, as a public speaker, I decided makes it okay after all.
Other FAQ:
- Any food allergies? No
- Any food sensitivities? I’m a complete wimp with spicy food (no hot stuff 😉
- Any other allergies? Yes: dogs, cats, guinea pigs, horses – anything cute and furry (or big and hairy), which is a bummer as I love God’s creatures!
- I’m booking your flight, what airport do you fly out of? SJC (San Jose International)
- For flights, do you have an airline seat preference? Yes, window seat if possible
- I’m booking your hotel, any preferences? No preferences, as long as there is access to morning coffee 😉
- This is our first event. Can you provide a sample schedule to give our team something to start with? Certainly! View a sample one-day event schedule HERE and a weekend retreat schedule HERE. Files are in MS Word so you can edit them to suit your event!
- On the day of the event, is there anything Shadia needs? YES:
- WiFi network and password (for processing book sales via credit card)
- Podium on stage for iPad, Bible, etc.
- Water bottle at the podium; room temperature preferred
- Table for setting up books and materials (the larger the better, such as 5 or 6 foot, but we’ll work with anything 🙂
- Hands free microphone is preferred (wireless “over the ear” mic if available)
- Is there an unwritten dress code (I typically wear nice jeans and a dressy top – if slacks are preferred, please let me know ahead of time)
